You are invited to join the discussion!
The NSWA is engaging with community leaders who live and do business within the North Saskatchewan Watershed. Discussion began in February 2009 with Rural Municipalities. A second meeting was held with this group in December 2009. We are now opening up these meetings to other community leaders in the watershed. You are invited to join the discussions taking place in each of the Headwaters, Central and Downstream sub-regions.

Municipal Resource Guide
The Municipal Resource Guide provides municipal decision-makers with:
• information about the value of healthy watersheds,
• insight on how municipal decisions affect the watershed,
• information legislation that applies to watershed health,
• tools for watershed management,
• best practice options,
• ideas for cooperation and collaboration,
• information about groups active in the watershed,
• programs available to municipalities,
• municipal success stories.
The project was led by a Steering Committee representing municipalities (urban and rural) and NSWA staff who worked closely with municipalities. Input from municipalities in the watershed was sought in the development of the guide through workshops and municipal outreach initiatives.
