The 20 Rural Municipalities in the North Saskatchewan River watershed in Alberta contribute in many different ways to the Integrated Watershed Managment Planning process.
Most of the Urban Municipalities in the watershed recieve direct benefit from and have direct impact on the North Saskatchewan River mainstream.
