You are invited to join the discussion!
The NSWA is engaging with community leaders who live and do business within the North Saskatchewan Watershed. Discussion began in February 2009 with Rural Municipalities. A second meeting was held with this group in December 2009. We are now opening up these meetings to other community leaders in the watershed. You are invited to join the discussions taking place in each of the Headwaters, Central and Downstream sub-regions.

River Guide
The North Saskatchewan River Guide includes a detailed summary of the fascinating natural, geological and human history of the river from the mountains through to where it joins the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatchewan. Whether you take the journey from the comfort of your armchair or the seat of your canoe, this guide will give you hours of informative reading. The guide is available through local and regional booksellers or by contacting the NSWA as outlined in the Contact Us section.
It is not secret that water is the lifeblood of the land. Nor is it surprising that fresh water on our planet is a commodity under great pressure. We believe that a river without friends is in danger of being damaged by that great pressure. This river guide is designed to emphasize and reinforce the long and noble relationship that humans have with the North Saskatchewan River. It is designed to remind us of its significant cultural, historical, recreational and environmental value. It is designed to bring us down to the river again and to reintroduce us to its wonders . . .
