The NSWA is engaging with community leaders who live and do business within the North Saskatchewan Watershed. Discussion began in February 2009 with Rural Municipalities. A second meeting was held with this group in December 2009. We are now opening up these meetings to other community leaders in the watershed. You are invited to join the discussions taking place in each of the Headwaters, Central and Downstream sub-regions.

NSWA Terms of Reference and Request for Proposal for "Preparation of the Integrated Watershed Management Plan report"

The NSWA currently is preparing an Integrated Watershed Management Plan for the North Saskatchewan River Basin. The Terms of Reference for the IWMP were approved by Alberta Environment in 2005 and outline the planning process.

The Alberta Lake Management Society (ALMS) and the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance (NSWA), are pleased to announce the 16th Annual ALMS Workshop. The Alberta Lake Management Society, in partnership with the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance, is hosting a workshop on developing a Lake Management Framework for Alberta.

July 15, 2009 - Board of Directors Meeting #71

Our Board of Directors had their first meeting since the election at the Annual General Meeting in June. Held at the AENV's Spruce Grove offices, it was a full day as the new Board prepared for the work in the upcoming year. Minutes from the meeting will be posted by July 30, 2009.
